Trade between Russia and India in the first four months of the year increased by 10% to a record $23.1 bn, according to Indian customs.
Exports of Russian goods to India grew by 9% to $21.6 bn from January to April, making the country the second largest (after China) supplier of goods to India during the period.
On the other hand, Russian imports of Indian commodities rose by 21% to $1.6 bn. This growth enabled Russia to rise from 33rd to 29th place, among the recipients of products from India.
In the meantime, the supply of smartphones from India increased 14-fold, while the export of laptop computers rose 25-fold during the same period.
