A state trip of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Russia is in the final stage of preparation and the dates will be announced after coordination with India, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.
"We will announce [the visit] by agreement with our Indian friends later. The visit is official. I can only confirm once again that the visit is in the final stages of preparation. A very important visit," Peskov told reporters.
Regional and global security issues are high on the agenda of Russian-Indian relations, same as economic cooperation, the spokesman said, adding that Moscow and Delhi have political will to develop relations in various fields.
"Given the trusting nature of relations between [Russian] President Putin and Prime Minister Modi, we can expect that there will be an exchange of views on all the issues on the agenda, and there are many of them," Peskov said.
