An Indian community leader in Bangkok, Vishwa Hindu Parishad General Secretary Jai Shankar Mukherjee, and Vice President Sushil Saraf highlighted the deep cultural and spiritual connections between the two nations in an interview with Sputnik India.
Thai streets and landmarks, such as Rama, reflect the enduring influence of India’s cultural heritage, with Thailand’s traditional dance and the Ramakien echoing India’s Ramayana, the Indian community leaders highlighted.
They further stressed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit is expected to boost not only cultural and religious ties but also commercial and people-to-people relations.
The leaders also emphasised the role of Buddhist diplomacy, with India strengthening its ties to the Buddhist world under Modi’s leadership.
