Bangkok (Sputnik) – As Prime Minister Narendra Modi prepares for his visit to Thailand for the BIMSEC summit, the Indian community in Thailand eagerly anticipates stronger bilateral ties.
An Indian community leader in Bangkok, Vishwa Hindu Parishad General Secretary Jai Shankar Mukherjee, and Vice President Sushil Saraf highlighted the deep cultural and spiritual connections between the two nations in an interview with Sputnik India.
Thai streets and landmarks, such as Rama, reflect the enduring influence of India’s cultural heritage, with Thailand’s traditional dance and the Ramakien echoing India’s Ramayana, the Indian community leaders highlighted.
They further stressed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit is expected to boost not only cultural and religious ties but also commercial and people-to-people relations.
