In a recent development, the Army has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to acquire approximately 75 Platform-based Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS), which will be equipped with both Soft Kill and Hard Kill capabilities.
The new systems will provide the tanks with omnidirectional detection, allowing them to identify and neutralise drone threats from any direction. This will significantly improve the tanks' operational effectiveness in modern warfare, where unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have become increasingly common on the battlefield.
One of the key features of these systems is the dual capability of both Soft Kill and Hard Kill options.
