In January, India bought fertilizers worth $183 million from Russia , 25% higher than last year.
The last time this much year-on-year supply growth was recorded was in April 2024 — at 35%, while the annual growth rate declined in the eight months that followed.
For the second consecutive month, Russia remained the main supplier to India's fertilizer market . However, despite the total fertilizer supplies to India doubling over the year to $668 million, the share of Russian companies in it declined to 27.4%, compared to 43% in January last year.
Other major suppliers included Saudi Arabia, which doubled its exports to $100 million, and Oman, whose supplies grew 2.6-fold to $96 million.
