"We believe that in the future, Russia will continue to play an important role in the Iranian nuclear issue. Now, at the initial stages of the Iran-US dialogue, we have not yet gone into specific details with Washington to be able to give an accurate forecast on nuclear issues, but, of course, we always remember the positive and constructive role of Russia, and we think that our Russian friends are also ready to play their constructive role again when necessary," Baqaei said.
Tehran is ready to make its nuclear program more transparent and develop more trust in it, provided that sanctions are lifted, Iranian government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani said earlier the day.
"We will try to create more transparency and more trust [in the nuclear program] in exchange for lifting sanctions. In other words, in exchange for lifting sanctions — I emphasize, in a way that is effective and has a [positive] effect on people's lives — Iran is ready to create more trust in its nuclear program and more transparency," Mohajerani told reporters.
