Iranian Foreign Minister to Visit Pakistan and India Amid Regional Escalation - Reports

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, is expected travel on official visits to Pakistan and India next week amid growing tensions between the two countries, Mehr News Agency has reported, citing an official spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmail Baghaei.

On May 5, Araghchi will visit Pakistan, where he will meet with senior officials to discuss bilateral relations as well as the situation in the region. After that, he is expected to travel to India, the agency reports.
On April 25, the Iranian Foreign Minister stated that the Islamic Republic is ready to assist India and Pakistan in finding mutual understanding in the current situation.
