Iran is ready to play a mediating role in talks between Pakistan and India to achieve lasting peace, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said in a telephone conversation with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday.
"The Islamic republic welcomes any action aimed at establishing lasting peace between Pakistan and India and can play the role of a mediator to achieve this goal," Pezeshkian was quoted as saying by the media
