"The decision to prepare the Strategy was taken back in July last year at a meeting in the Kremlin. On the President's instructions, the Ministry of Defence prepared its draft, which was then finalised by the Maritime Board of the Russian Federation, taking into account proposals from federal agencies and organisations. The final version of the Strategy was submitted to the head of state for consideration, and he approved it on 30 May," Patrushev said.
The document assesses the state and capabilities of the Navy, taking into account the experience of the Special Military Operation, and formulates requirements for the future combat composition of the fleet, Patrushev emphasised.
