Russian air defence systems shot down 36 Ukrainian drones overnight, with 26 of them intercepted over the Belgorod region, the Russian Defence Ministry reported on Sunday.

"During the past night, air defence systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 36 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)", the ministry said in a statement. It added that "four were downed over the Voronezh region, three over the Lipetsk region, and three over the Nizhny Novgorod region".
