Russian Army Liberated Over 1,351 Square Miles of Land Since March - MoD

The Russian Army has liberated more than 3,500 square kilometres (1,351 square miles) of territory and 149 settlements in the zone of the special military operation since March 2025, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov said on Saturday.

“Since March, more than 3,500 square kilometres of territory and 149 settlements have been liberated,” Gerasimov said.
The Russian Armed Forces have liberated
99.7% of the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR);
79% of the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic;
76% of the Kherson region;
74% of the Zaporozhye region.
Russian forces are yet to liberate fewer than 60 square kilometres of land in the LPR to claim complete control of the region. Russia’s Sever (North) group has taken control of 210 square kilometres of territory and 13 settlements in the Sumy region, he said.
