On Friday, Iraqi news agency Baghdad Al-Youm (Baghdad Today) reported that the United States had sent a message to Iran via Oman proposing a resumption of the dialogue, which was suspended this summer. However, this information was later refuted by several media outlets, including the agency itself.
"The [Iranian] Foreign Ministry has received messages containing a proposal to resume talks on the Iranian nuclear issue," Mohajerani was quoted as saying by Iranian SNN news agency.
She did not specify the country that sent the messages but said that their details will be disclosed "in due time."
