India's Crude Imports From Russia Surge 17% in November 2025

Russia has been India’s top crude supplier for over three years, and in November 2025, India’s imports from the country surged 17%, hitting a record high as refiners increased purchases from their preferred supplier since 2022.

India's crude imports from Russia have averaged 1.9 million barrels per day (mbd) so far this month, according to data from cargo-tracking firm Kpler.
If one compares month-on-month figures, oil imports in November have rocketed 17%. On a year-on-year basis, the jump is pegged at 6%.
India's barrels from Russia in November saw a 12% jump when compared with stats from the same month in 2023.
India imported approximately 1.44 mbd in September, which increased slightly in the following month, with October figures standing at 1.48 mbd.
