Speaking to the media, Ushakov noted that the meeting was private and no details of the conversation had yet been shared with the Russian delegation.
“Around two and a half hours,” Ushakov said. “I don’t know what exactly they discussed, as it was a private conversation, and we have not yet had the chance to speak with the president about it. But everything will become clear during the official talks.”
Earlier today, President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Modi welcomed President Putin ahead of the formal ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Russian leader is in India for a two-day visit from December 4–5.
The official Russia–India summit is scheduled for Friday, where both sides are expected to hold comprehensive discussions on bilateral cooperation, regional issues, and strategic partnerships.
