India and Jordan have agreed to deepen their partnership in multiple sectors, including in areas of energy, water, culture and digital cooperation, a joint statement released following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official visit to Amman, said on Tuesday.
On Monday, Modi and Jordan's King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein held bilateral discussions in Amman, reviewing the complete spectrum of India-Jordan ties and subsequently giving a go-ahead to widening their engagement across agriculture, technology, trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges, among others.
"The two sides discussed the road map for collaboration in the field of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). In this context, both sides welcomed the signing of a letter of intent for entering into an agreement on sharing of Indian experience of DPI. Both sides agreed to collaborate in ensuring a safe, secure, trusted and inclusive digital environment," the joint statement read.
The two countries highlighted their satisfaction with the increasing cultural interactions between India and Jordan and noted the recent agreement on a Cultural Exchange Programme covering 2025–2029, the report says. They expressed support for broadening collaboration across areas such as music, dance, theatre, visual arts, archival work, libraries, literature, and cultural festivals, it added.
Also, New Delhi and Amman signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation in Water Resources Management & Development.

Besides, Jordan and India acknowledged the importance of cooperation in aquifer management, capacity building, climate adaptation and planning and water-saving agricultural technologies.
