On January 15, the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) announced the successful orbital insertion of the 3A remote sensing satellite.
At 12:01 p.m. local time (04:01 GMT), China Great Wall Industry Corporation lofted the Algerian Remote Sensing Satellite-3B from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center aboard a Long March 2C rocket, Keji Ribao reported.
According to the report, the Algerian satellite system will map national territory, support agricultural planning and assessment, and track natural disasters.
