A fifth-grade schoolgirl from a government school in Delhi was reportedly attacked by her teacher, who hit her with scissors and threw her out of the first-floor window in a fit of rage on Friday.Police received a call around 11.15am, after which they rushed to the spot and immediately took the child to a nearby hospital. The incident caused a widespread protest outside the Delhi Nagar Nigam Balika Vidyalaya. It is unclear what caused the fit of rage.Another teacher, Riya, reportedly tried to intervene and stop her colleague from beating the child.

A fifth-grade schoolgirl from a government school in Delhi was reportedly attacked by her teacher, who hit her with scissors and threw her out of the first-floor window in a fit of rage on Friday.
Police received a call around 11.15am, after which they rushed to the spot and immediately took the child to a nearby hospital.

While the child, identified as Vandana, is undergoing treatment and is said to be out of danger, the teacher, Geeta Deshwal, has been suspended and arrested by authorities.
Another teacher, Riya, reportedly tried to intervene and stop her colleague from beating the child.
