BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala and Congress member Acharya Pramod Krishnam became embroiledd in an ugly war of words on Twitter over Rahul Gandhi's Unity March on Wednesday morning.It began after the BJP politician congratulated the latter on his birthday. Responding to Poonawala's message, the Congress MP invited him to join Gandhi's march, currently passing through the BJP-run state of Uttar Pradesh.In reply, Poonawala took a direct swipe at the Congress, stating that he would join the opposition party's mass contact program if the party stopped its agenda of dividing India."Swami ji, as soon as your journey is free from those who want India to be divided, supporters of Afzal Guru, those who call Hindutva the ISIS (Daesh), those who slaughter cows, question the existence of Lord Ram and advocate to bring back Article 370, then I will definitely join such a journey," Poonawala tweeted.Irked by his answer, Krishnam shot back, "There is no TV debate right now." But Poonawala was having none of it."Yes Swamiji, that's why I gave you this important suggestion because I consider you not of the Congress but of the country. As soon as the country is free from the gang of opponents, I will be the first to join this yatra," the BJP spokesperson responded.Gandhi is currently on a 3,570 km march from Kanyakumari to Srinagar, which has been touted as Congress' largest public campaign since independence.The BJP has been fiercely critical of Gandhi's ongoing foot march to unify Indians and dubbed it "Bharat Todo Yatra" - a campaign to "break" the country, rather than unify it.On the other hand, Congress has claimed that the federally governing party has grown wary of the huge public support that Gandhi is getting across states during his march.
