India's Congress Party parliamentarian started his 'Unite India Campaign' last September from Tamil Nadu state. It is scheduled to conclude in Jammu and Kashmir region on January 30.
The ongoing "Bharat Jodo Yatra" (Unite India Campaign) witnessed an all-women march on Monday. The campaign involves a thousands-of-miles-long march and was organized by Congress parliamentarian Rahul Gandhi.
The campaign resumed from Kurukshetra district, Haryana, on Monday. Over the next two days, it will be covering Ambala district before entering Punjab. It entered Kurukshetra on Sunday evening.
It is the third time the campaign has witnessed such a march, as the Congress Party champions its women empowerment agenda.
The first time the party organized an all-women march was on November 19, the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
Later in December, the Congress parliamentarian was accompanied by women during the march on the occasion of Women's Empowerment Day.
The yatra, which started from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu state on September 7, will end after reaching Srinagar by January 30 with Gandhi hoisting the national flag there.
The march has so far covered Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh states.
