A series of incidents have surfaced since last week, in which drunk air passengers were seen misbehaving with crew members and co-travellers.
Two men were arrested on late Sunday evening for allegedly misbehaving with an air hostess and other crew members on the Delhi-Patna IndiGo flight.
Those arrested allegedly got intoxicated before hopping on the flight as beer cans — prohibited as per protocol — were found on them. The two also tried drinking alcohol during the 80-minute flight, but were prevented from doing so after crew members and passengers objected.
As soon as the plane landed, the two rowdies — identified as Rohit Kumar and Nitin Kumar — were arrested at the Patna Airport Police with the help of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
The incident is the latest in a series of mid-air issues that come days after the Air India New York-Delhi flight "peeing" case where a passenger allegedly urinated on a woman in an inebriated state. The hooligan was arrested on January 7.
