A day after Virat Kohli scored his 45th ODI hundred against Sri Lanka in Guwahati, breaking multiple world records in the process, an interview of the talismanic batter conducted by his Team India teammate Suryakumar Yadav is going crazy viral on the internet. Both Surya and Kohli could be seen having a good time with the duo sharing smiles and banter at the start of the video. Shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) this morning, their conversation became an instant hit on Twitter."You had interviewed me in the Asia Cup and in this new year, I am getting the opportunity to interview you. Thank you to whosoever gave me this opportunity," Suryakumar could be seen saying in the video.Kohli then spoke about his prolonged slump with the bat which ended late last year. What Are Kohli's Credentials? In the first game of the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, Kohli set a bunch of new records - becoming the fastest to complete 12,500 runs and 45 hundreds in the 50-over format. Both these records were previously held by the legendary Sachin Tendulkar. Besides the aforementioned feats, Kohli is also the quickest to score 20 tons on home soil. While Tendulkar took 160 innings to reach there, Kohli did it in just 99 knocks. It has been a stunning turnaround for the former India skipper, considering he went through an extended period of a lull - from November 2019 to August 2022 to be precise, where he failed to put up a three-figure score on the board in more than 100 matches across formats. However, since September, his form has been exemplary, having finished last year's T20 World Cup in Australia as the tournament's top-scorer and now hitting back-to-back hundreds in ODIs. With his most recent century against the Dasun Shanaka-led side this week, Kohli has moved one more step closer to Tendulkar's all-time record of 49 ODI tons. He now needs only 4 to match and 5 to break his landmark.

Indian Maestro Virat Kohli's Interview With Suryakumar Yadav Goes Viral

"You had interviewed me in the Asia Cup and in this new year, I am getting the opportunity to interview you. Thank you to whosoever gave me this opportunity," Suryakumar could be seen saying in the video.
Kohli then spoke about his prolonged slump with the bat which ended late last year.
"When I came back relaxed for the Asia Cup, I started enjoying practice. I started enjoying training again. Which is how I have always played my cricket. What I will say is that if you feel a little bit of desperation, always take two steps back, rather than pushing more and more. Because then things will start to go away from you," Kohli said.
