The Lahore High Court (LHC) earlier declined to grant protective bail to Khan in a case over protests outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) office.
Hundreds of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters have converged outside the residence of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan in Lahore since Thursday night, as police have gathered outside his house to arrest him.
On Thursday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) declined to give protective bail to Khan as he didn't appear in person before the court.
On Wednesday, an Islamabad anti-terrorism court turned down his bail in the morning in a case linked to protests being staged outside the Election Commission of Pakistan. Afterwards, PTI workers and supporters, including women and children, were seen gathering outside Khan's residence to prevent his arrest.
The workers were heard chanting slogans condemning the ruling government and police.
The PTI workers told the media that they would permanently camp outside the house of Khan to prevent any bid to arrest him. They said if police move ahead forcefully then they would have to arrest them (protesters) first.
Meanwhile, police vehicles also appeared outside Khan's residence after his bail was cancelled.
