The cricket teams of the two Asian nations have already faced each other three times in T20 matches and Pakistan has won every time. But now the Afghans have managed to turn the tables.
Afghanistan's cricket team captain Rashid Khan on Saturday expressed his delight after a historic victory over Pakistan cricket team in the ongoing three-match T20I series in Sharjah.
Sharing footage of the matches in a tweet, the Afghan skipper said that he is feeling proud to lead his nation to a historic win.
Afghanistan's cricket team defeated Pakistan by six wickets while chasing a target of 93 runs in the first match of the series on Friday night. This was the first win for Afghanistan over its neighboring country in the shortest format or in any format of the game.

The next T20 match between the two countries will take place on Sunday.
