'Assault on Hindu Sentiments': Indians Enraged by Ukraine's Offensive Kali Tweet

The Ukraine Defense Ministry on Sunday posted a controversial tweet that is considered highly blasphemous by the Hindu community, hurting millions of people's feelings.
An Indian offucial has strongly reacted to a Ukraine Defense Ministry tweet, which had a picture depicting Hindu Goddess Kali revered by millions of people in India. In the now-deleted tweet, the Ukraine defense ministry captioned it "Work of art" with an image of Hindu Goddess Kali superimposed over an explosion cloud.
Kanchan Gupta, a senior advisor at the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, called the tweet an assault on Hindu sentiments.

Gupta said Ukraine has mocked "Goddess Kali in a manner no foreign government or country has ever done."

He also branded the Ukrainian ministry's actions "brazen hate speech." The senior bureaucrat said the pictures show "the real face of the Ukraine government."
Many Indians took to Twitter and slammed the Ukrainian government for the tweet.
