Russian Deputy FM Oleg Syromolotov and his Indian counterpart Sanjay Verma, Secretary (West), Ministry of External Affairs have reaffirmed their countries’ readiness to boost constructive counter-terror cooperation in the bilateral format and on multilateral platforms, primarily within the UN, BRICS and the SCO.The two also underlined the need to further boost international cooperation in counter-terrorism to prevent the use of modern technologies by terrorists, fight financing terror activities and counter the spread of terror and radical ideology, according to the statement by the Russian foreign ministry on Wednesday.It's worth noting that the meeting between Verma and Syromolotov took place ahead of the two-day meeting of SCO Foreign Ministers in Goa on May 4-5. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is scheduled to take part in the summit, where the issue of the SCO expansion will be on the agenda, among other things.
