Kiren Rijiju took charge as minister of earth sciences on Friday after being ousted from the Law Ministry.While talking to the media, he said that his move was not a shock to him.Asked if his surprise transfer came after his run-ins with the Supreme Court, the minister said that it was "not a day to talk politics."Refusing to comment on any questions related to his stint as law minister, he said: “Please don't ask questions related to my previous ministry, as those questions are not relevant now. Kiren Rijiju took charge as minister of earth sciences on Friday after being ousted from the Law Ministry.
While talking to the media, he said that his move was not a shock to him.
“This shifting is not a punishment, this is the plan of the government. This is the vision of PM Modi,” Rijiju said.
Asked if his surprise transfer came after his run-ins with the Supreme Court, the minister said that it was "not a day to talk politics."
Refusing to comment on any questions related to his stint as law minister, he said: “Please don't ask questions related to my previous ministry, as those questions are not relevant now. I will continue to work responsibly as the prime minister keeps giving me new responsibilities.”
