Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in Japan and laid flowers there in honor of the nuclear bombing victims.He also signed the museum visitor’s book. Apart from Modi, other G7 leaders invited to the summit also paid homage to the Hiroshima victims at the memorial park.The Indian premier was also seen having a brief chat with his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese while he was on his way to pay homage to the atomic bombing victims.Earlier on Saturday, Modi met his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida and reviewed the full range of relations between the two countries.Both PM Modi and his Japanese counterpart discussed the key areas of India’s G20 Presidency and Japan’s G7 Presidency towards making the planet better.The two leaders also discussed ways to synergise the efforts of their respective G20 and G7 Presidencies and Modi stressed the need to highlight the concerns and priorities of the Global South.Later, he left for Papua New Guinea to take part in the FIPIC Summit, a vital forum to boost multilateral cooperation. Before leaving for Papua New Guinea, he thanked the Japanese Prime Minister and the people of Japan for their warm welcome and hospitality during his stay.Modi will be received by Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape on his arrival at Port Moresby, where he will be accorded a full ceremonial reception.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Japan to attend the G7 Leaders’ Summit, since India has been invited as a guest country to the event along with South Korea, Australia, Brazil, Vietnam, Indonesia, Comoros and the Cook Islands, to name a few Asian guests.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in Japan and laid flowers there in honor of the nuclear bombing victims.
He also signed the museum visitor’s book. Apart from Modi, other G7 leaders invited to the summit also paid homage to the Hiroshima victims at the memorial park.
