A traditional Jewish wedding in India's Kerala state is making headlines as it took place after a hiatus of 15 years with much fanfare.A data scientist from the US and daughter of former crime branch S.P. Benoy Malakhai, the bride, Rachel Malakhai, looked stunning in a white saree and veil.Meanwhile, the groom, Richard Zachary Rowe, who is a NASA engineer from the US, looked dapper in a white sherwani suit.On Sunday, the couple tied the nuptial knot at a private resort in the presence of family members and their parents. The ceremony was officiated by an Israeli rabbi, adding a religious touch to the event.According to some historians, the first Jews who arrived in Kerala were traders some 2,000 years ago, during the time of King Solomon. Currently, only a few Jewish families are left in the state.
