Rosneft Dismisses Oil Deliveries to Pakistan From India’s Vadinar Refinery
19:15 15.06.2023 (Updated: 19:16 15.06.2023) The company stressed that "the strong partnership between Russia and India is causing irritation to the American administration", which was the reason for the false foreign media publication.
Russian oil giant Rosneft has denied information published by
Energy Intelligence on 14 June about
oil supplies from
India’s Vadinar refinery, in which Rosneft has a stake, to
Pakistan, calling it "defamatory".
"On June 14, 2023, the article 'Pakistan Buys Russian Oil Via Convoluted Route' was published on the Energy Intelligence website, containing provocative information about the alleged 'semi-processing' of Russian oil at India’s Vadinar refinery for further delivery to Pakistan. This publication is an ideological sabotage aimed at undermining India's energy security", Rosneft said.
“Rosneft has nothing to do with oil supplies to Pakistan,” the company added.
The company expressed outrage at the publication of such "defamatory" material, and demanded that the outlet remove the false information from its website and publish an appropriate rebuttal. Rosneft warned of legal consequences for spreading false information and intends to take legal action to protect its business reputation, the company said.
