As the search operation for the missing Titanic submersible continues, there has been a sudden spike in people's interest in horror indie video game "Iron Lung".In the game, the player plays the role of a protagonist who navigates through a small submarine and investigates a mysterious and dangerous blood ocean decades after all known stars and habitable planets vanished from the universe.The sales of the Iron Lung game have gone up over the last few days as people draw similarities with the real-life story of the missing Titanic submersible and the five people aboard the ship.According to the reports, the horror game saw a huge spike in its popularity after it was played by several famous YouTubers like Pyrocynical and Markiplier, who recently announced that they would be adapting the game's story into a movie.The vessel, equipped with only 96 hours of oxygen, began its descent on Sunday but lost contact with the surface less than two hours later, according to authorities.The US Coast Guard said the submarine, if it is not damaged and is still functioning, will run out of air at 10.30 GMT on Thursday. Among the five people on board are Hamish Harding, a 58-year-old British businessman and explorer, a Pakistani-native British businessman Shahzada Dawood, 48, and his son, Suleman Dawood, 19, and 77-year-old French explorer Paul-Henry Nargeolet. The fifth person, the pilot, is OceanGate chief executive Stockton Rush.These trips span multiple days and cost $250,000 (INR 20.52 million) per person.

David Szymanski, the developer of the game, tweeted a picture showing the sale of 'Iron Lung' skyrocketing and wrote, "It feels so wrong."
According to the reports, the horror game saw a huge spike in its popularity after it was played by several famous YouTubers like Pyrocynical and Markiplier, who recently announced that they would be adapting the game's story into a movie.
"I definitely see the dark humor in this whole Titanic sub thing, it's just... like, I made Iron Lung the most nightmarish thing I could think of, and knowing real people are in that situation right now is pretty horrific, even if it was their own bad decisions,” Szymanski reacted to the rising craze of his game after the missing Titanic Submersible.
