CBI Takes Over Probe of Odisha Train Crash
An Indian Railways official told local media that some train movement on the route was restored at around 8:30 AM (Indian Standard Time) after “urgent repair work” was carried out on the tracks.
However, he added that overall train services will remain affected through Sunday.
The accident reportedly occurred after one of the trains violated a red signal at Onda and went into the loop line, where it hit a stationary train.
