Monkeys are often regarded as the most mischievous creatures, as they continuously irritate people through their actions like barging into houses for food, damaging property, and even snatching from individuals on the road.
A monkey in India's Uttar Pradesh's Shahabad district briefly became a 'millionaire' after he was caught on camera stealing a bag full of cash worth INR 0.15 million ($1,835) from a bike parked outside the registry office.
In the viral video clip, the monkey can be seen searching for food and checking all the bags attached to all the motorbikes in the parking lot.
After thoroughly searching the bags, the monkey ran away atop a tree with a bag having cash in it.
The bike owner, Sharafat Hussain, had reportedly come to the Registry Office for a sale deed.
When Hussain couldn't find his bag, he started panicking and thinking his bag had been stolen.
After a long search, people spotted the monkey sitting on a tree holding that bag and the crowd managed to retrieve it, with all the money intact.
Amid the rising monkey menace in Shahabad, the district administration has set up a team to catch the monkeys and release them in the forest.
