Amid soaring tomato prices in India due to shortages, several off-beat incidents have grabbed people's attention, from farmers employing guards to safeguard their crops to individuals giving tomatoes as birthday presents.
An auto-rickshaw driver in Punjab's Chandigarh city has been hogging the limelight for his unique approach to attract passengers to take multiple rides by offering a free kilo of tomatoes.
The auto driver, identified as Anil Kumar, told Indian media that he is happy to provide such services through driving his auto which is his only source of income.
