Last month, a two-and-a-half year toddler fell into a 300-foot-deep borewell in Madhya Pradesh. Despite a rigorous rescue operation carried out by the NDRF, SDRF, and Indian Army, she could not be saved and lost her life.
The three-year-old child who had fell into a 40-foot deep borewell while playing in Kul village in the Nalanda district in Bihar on Sunday was rescued after a five-hour long rescue operation.
After being rescued from the borewell, he was taken to the hospital for the treatment.
According to media reports, the rescue operation was initiated and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and other rescue teams are on the spot to save the child. JCB machines were called to deliver oxygen and extract the child from the borewell.
The boy who fell into the borewell was identified as Shivam.
As per media reports, the child slipped into the borewell while playing. His mother was working in the field at the time. A farmer made the borewell, but it wasn't closed, resulting in the tragic incident. The children playing with Shivam informed his parents, and the rescue operation started after they reached the spot.

Indian Rescuers Use Robot to Rescue Little Girl from 300-ft Borewell
During the rescue operation, the area was cordoned off to ensure the safety and efficiency of the rescue operation, while medical teams equipped with oxygen facilities are also at the location to provide immediate attention to the child, an official had told the media.
Nalanda's District Magistrate Shashank Shubhankar was also at the scene to monitor the rescue operation.
Earlier in the day, Silwa Circle Officer Shambhu Mandal said: “We received information that a child fell into a borewell. We are trying our best to rescue the child. The child is alive, we can hear his voice".
In June, teams of the NDRF, State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF), and Indian Army, along with local police carried out massive rescue operation in Mugavali village in the Sehore district in Madhya Pradesh to save a girl who tripped into a 300-foot-deep borewell. The teams even used robots to bring her out safely; however, after a 52-hour-long rescue operation, her lifeless body was pulled out from the borewell.
