Indian badminton players Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy on Sunday brought laurels to the country as they won the men’s doubles finals to clinch the Korea Open Super 500 badminton title.They defeated world no. 1 Indonesian pair of Fajar ALfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto by 17-21, 21-13, 21-14. The Indian pair registered their victory after losing the first set.Chirag-Satwik entered the final by defeating the world no. 2 Chinese pair of Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang on Saturday.The Indian pair, ranked no. 3 in the world, defeated the Chinese pair by 21-15, 24-22 in their 40-minute duel.With the victory in the Korea Open finals, Chirag-Satwik extended their winning streak to 10 matches.Prior to this victory, the Indian duo had a 2-2 head-to-head count against Asian Games silver medallists Alfian and Ardianto; however, they have beaten the Indonesian pair on the last two occasions.
