A group of Armed Forces of Ukraine infantry blew up their own mines while trying to attack the Russian positions near Ugledar in the DPR, a serviceman of the Russian Armed Forces told Sputnik.
“Just a couple of days ago, we faced another attempt at an offensive from the Ukrainian forces in the direction of Ugledar. An infantry group marched out, with three pieces of heavy equipment, but the attempt failed, because they did not have time to reach our positions, they were blown up by their own mines. Plus, our MLRS showed up right then, hurled some on top of them, so this next attempt at the offensive ended up quashed," a serviceman of the Russian Armed Forces under the code name 'Buka' told Sputnik.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry's statement on early Friday, the Vostok Group of Forces have destroyed the support inflicted fire damage on the concentrations of militants of the Ukrainian army in the area of ​​Ugledar.
