The fairy flying video trend on TikTok challenges users to mimic a flying fairy and make themselves appear like they're floating by lifting themselves into the air with a hoist or by pulling themselves up on an object while filming their legs or feet only.
A disturbing TikTok video trend called #FairyFlying has sparked suicide concerns among people after frequent cases of youngsters hanging themselves from the ceiling in order to pose like a flying fairy made headlines.
With over 66 million views, the video trend has gone viral on TikTok.
Several health experts in the US have issued a warning regarding the video trend promoting people to self-harm and develop suicidal tendencies.
According to experts, the fairy flying videos are shot in a manner that gives an illusion of the body hanging in the air.
Calling the trend ''unsettling and triggering'', netizens have taken to social media to react to the trend and call for a ban on it.
Some experts have raised alarm on social media about the viral video trend and said that it triggers negative emotions in people who have experienced suicidal thoughts or had loved ones who have attempted or committed suicide.
