The type of Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) has not been specified, and the ramifications are still unknown.
The Kiev regime's forces fired six rockets from their MLRS systems at Donetsk's Kiev district, the Donetsk People Republic's (DPR) representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) reported.

"[Mortar] fire was recorded from the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the direction: ... the settlement of Yasnobrodovka - the city of Donetsk (Kirov district): six rockets were fired from an MLRS," the representative office says.

Ukrainian troops also fired 11 NATO-caliber 155-millimeter shells over a period of ten minutes at Donetsk's Kuibyshevsky district.
That said, 155 mm caliber artillery is used by NATO countries. The United States supplied Ukraine with long-range, 155 mm-caliber M777 howitzers, Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. Also, Ukrainian forces were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
