While some X, formerly Twitter, users lauded the politician for drawing attention to the burning issue of price rises and found his approach innovative, others poked fun at him.

The price of tomatoes and ginger continues to soar in many parts of India, making a lot of households, restaurants, and food outlets skip the vegetables from their regular meals.
Several tomato farmers have become millionaires by selling the crop at three times the price of the market value.
Currently, tomatoes and ginger cost around INR 200-300 ($2.42 - $3.62) per kg in some parts of India.
The price surge in tomatoes has been attributed to various factors, including supply chain disruptions, climatic conditions, and other market dynamics.
