The Nuh district of Haryana witnessed a communal clash last week when a mob tried to stop a religious procession by a Hindu advocacy group, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, by pelting attendees with stones and setting several vehicles on fire.
Members of a Hindu group holding a mega meeting in Palwal district of Haryana on Sunday issued open threats despite warning from the authorities not to engage in "hate speech".
According to media reports, the organizers of the meeting claimed that they had already warned the participants not to engage in hate speeches but some of the ignored the warning. One of the speakers was heard saying that “if you raise a finger, we will cut off your hands” while another went on to demand licenses for rifles, media reports added.
The mega event was organized by Sarv Hindu Samaj, a Hindu group, at Pondri village at the Palwal-Nuh border in Haryana.
While talking about the meeting, the Palwal Superintendent of Police (SP) Lokendra Singh said that the permission for the meeting was given on several conditions.

"No one will deliver hate speeches. A case will be immediately registered if someone does. No one will bring weapons, sticks, batons, or any flammable object," Singh said while elaborating the conditions as he further added that only 500 people have been allowed to participate and it has been informed to organizers to end the meeting by 2 p.m. (IST).

The people convened at the meeting to discuss resuming the “Brajmandal Dharmik Yatra”, a religious procession of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), scheduled for August 28. Meanwhile, media reports suggested quoting sources said that there would be raised a demand to release the young people arrested in connection with the communal clashes.
Notably, the meeting was held days after Nuh district witnessed communal clashes in which six people were killed.
