Among the craters images shared by ISRO, Giordano Bruno crater is among one of the youngest large craters on the moon. Harkhebi J crater, which has a diameter of approximately 43 km. As per the Indian space agency, the second deboosting operation is scheduled for 20 August at around 02:00 Indian Standard Time (IST). The deboosting process is a procedure of powering down or slowing down the spacecraft to position itself in an orbit where the closest point to the Moon (Perilune) is 30 km and the farthest point (the Apolune) is 100 km. Chandrayaan 3 is expected to land on the South Pole of the Moon on 23 August, this part remains unexplored mainly due to its harsh environment.

In a montage shared by the Indian space agency on X, Lander Vikram Imager clicked different craters of the moon – Fabry, Giordano Bruno, and Harkhebi J. All these craters are on the far side of the Moon.
Vikram Lander on Friday shared the first images of the moon a day after successfully detaching from the spacecraft's propulsion.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) shared the first photos taken by Lander Vikram Imager (LI) Camera-1 on X (formerly called Twitter).
Among the craters images shared by ISRO,
Giordano Bruno crater is among one of the youngest large craters on the moon.
Harkhebi J crater,
which has a diameter of approximately 43 km.
"The Lander Module (LM) health is normal. LM successfully underwent a deboosting operation that reduced its orbit to 113 km x 157 km," the space agency said.
As per the Indian space agency, the second deboosting operation is scheduled for 20 August at around 02:00 Indian Standard Time (IST).
The
deboosting process is a procedure of powering down or slowing down the spacecraft to position itself in an orbit where the
closest point to the Moon (Perilune) is 30 km and the farthest point (the Apolune) is 100 km.
Chandrayaan 3 is expected to land on the South Pole of the Moon on 23 August, this part remains unexplored mainly due to its harsh environment.
