Telangana's ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party announced its candidates on Monday for the state assembly elections in December.The party revealed candidates for all the 119 seats available, making just seven changes to the incumbent lawmakers.As per the list, KCR - who currently represents Gajwel constituency - will contest elections from Kamareddy constituency this time.The BRS chief also said that his party’s friendship with the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) which is led by Asaduddin Owaisi will continue.By announcing the candidates months ahead of the elections, KCR is trying to win advantage over other parties.Meanwhile, some media reports suggest that Congress Party has also begun tto select its candidate as the party has invited applications from August 18-25.

Telangana’s Ruling Party Announces Candidates for Upcoming State Assembly Polls
Elections in Telangana are slated to be held in December. In the previous polls in 2018, the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (then Telangana Rashtra Samithi) won 88 out of 119 seats while Congress won 19.
Telangana's ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party announced its candidates on Monday for the state assembly elections in December.
The party revealed candidates for all the 119 seats available, making just seven changes to the incumbent lawmakers.
Looking forward for the third-consecutive term, BRS chief and Telangana state chief K Chandrashekar Rao (popularly known as KCR) said while releasing the list of candidates. He also expressed confidence that his party will win 95-105 out of 119 seats in the state assembly.
As per the list, KCR - who currently represents Gajwel constituency - will contest elections from Kamareddy constituency this time.
The BRS chief also said that his party’s friendship with the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) which is led by Asaduddin Owaisi will continue.
By announcing the candidates months ahead of the elections, KCR is trying to win advantage over other parties.
