Ukrainian Armed Forces suffer heavy loses in several directions during Russia's special military operation in the country. Kiev's so-called "counteroffensive" is deemed to be failing, while Russian forces thwart any attempt to break through its lines of defense.
Russian paratroopers view a direct Ukrainian offensive towards Artemovsk (Bakhmut), Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), as unlikely, given the Russian army's strong position there, the commander of the airborne unit told Sputnik.

"Even if they launch an offensive, they will not be able to gain a foothold in our positions and fulfill their tasks," the commander said.

The Ukrainian forces do not behave actively, according to the Russian soldier, they constantly "make mistakes", and also almost do not evacuate the wounded.
