At least two people, one of them a woman, have lost their life and 10 others have been admitted to the Barabanki district hospital after a building crumbled in India's Uttar Pradesh state in the early hours of Monday.However, eight out of the 10 admitted were later referred to King George Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow for better treatment.Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are carrying out the relief and rescue operation at the site where the double-storey building collapsed like a pack of cards. So far, 12 people have been rescued and four others are feared to be trapped under the debris.The deceased have been identified as Roshni, 22, and Hakimmudin, 28, and those who have been referred to KGMU have been identified as Mehak (12), Shakeela (50), Sultan (24), Kulsum (47) Zainab Fatima (7), Zafarul Hasan (20), Salman (26) and Sameer (16).Two - Mohammed Azam (18) and Altamas (11) - were discharged after first-aid treatment was administered at the district hospital.Uttar Pradesh State Chief Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the loss of lives in the incident and directed officials to ensure that the injured receive the best treatment possible.

Building Collapse: Two Die, Several Feared Trapped In Uttar Pradesh
An infant and a woman were killed and five others left injured in a separate building collapse incident in the Bhiwandi area of Maharashtra state's Thane district on Sunday.
At least two people, one of them a woman, have lost their life and 10 others have been admitted to the Barabanki district hospital after a building crumbled in India's Uttar Pradesh state in the early hours of Monday.
However, eight out of the 10 admitted were later referred to King George Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow for
better treatment.
Teams from the
National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are carrying out the
relief and rescue operation at the site where the double-storey building collapsed like a pack of cards.
So far, 12 people have been rescued and four others are feared to be trapped under the debris.
Barabanki Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Singh told media that the information about the incident was received at around 3.00, IST (21.30 Sunday, GMT). “During the treatment, two people succumbed to their injuries and died. Eight others in critical condition were sent to Lucknow's KGMU.”
