On September 5, India marks National Teachers' Day, which celebrates the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the country's first vice-president and second President. He played a big role in shaping the education system.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday led the nation on the occasion of Teachers' Day to express gratitude by saluting teachers throughout the country for their unwavering dedication.
The day also honours the contribution made by teachers to shaping their students’ lives.
PM Modi shared a glimpse of his interaction with the winners of the National Teachers' Award 2023 on Monday and tweeted, "Their dedication to shaping young minds and their unwavering commitment to excellence in education is very inspiring. In their classrooms, they are scripting a brighter future for India's youth."
