The Delhi Metro on Friday started running its service from 4 a.m. (IST) at terminal stations of all lines for the next three days in view of the G-20 summit.Usually, the Delhi Metro operates over 2,700 trips every day between 5:30 a.m. and 11.30 p.m. (IST).These trains, which are the lifeline of lakhs of commuters, will run with a frequency of 30 minutes on all the lines till 6 a.m. and after 6 a.m., national broadcaster All India Radio reported.Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora had recently requested the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in a letter to commence train services from 4 a.m. to help the security personnel reach their duty posts in time.In view of the security constraints, passengers' boarding or deboarding at Supreme Court Metro Station is disallowed to avoid inconvenience to daily commuters for Saturday and Sunday. In view of the security constraints, passengers will not be allowed to board or deboard at Supreme Court Metro Station to avoid inconvenience to daily commuters on Saturday and Sunday.Moreover, the city police is continuing its security checks across the national capital to prevent any unexpected incident when world leaders are present in the city. Besides, traffic regulations have come into force in Delhi.

G-20: Delhi Metro to Operate from Predawn for 3 Days
Delhi is hosting the G-20 Summit for the first time from September 9 to 10, under India's presidency. It is also the maiden G-20 summit to be held in India as well as in the entirety of South Asia. The city is decked up to welcome world leaders.
The Delhi Metro on Friday started running its service from 4 a.m. (IST) at terminal stations of all lines for the next three days in view of the
G-20 summit.
Usually, the Delhi Metro operates over 2,700 trips every day between 5:30 a.m. and 11.30 p.m. (IST).
These trains, which are the lifeline of lakhs of commuters, will run with a frequency of 30 minutes on all the lines till 6 a.m. and after 6 a.m., national broadcaster All India Radio reported.
Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora had recently requested the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in a letter to commence train services from 4 a.m. to help the security personnel reach their duty posts in time.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that all the metro stations will remain open for the general public for all the three days - Friday to Sunday - except for the Supreme Court Metro Station, which is the closest one to the main venue of G20, 'Bharat Mandapam' International Exhibition-Convention Centre, Pragati Maidan area.
