TheLaser Science and Technology Centre (LASTEC) developed the Long Range Optical Target Locater 1500 (OTL1500) to monitor specific areas, detecting snipers, area sanitization and border security.
A top-notch Optical Target Locator, a locally developed Netra Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) system and Anti Drone System have been deployed ahead of the beginning of the G-20 summit.
The cutting-edge technologies by India's Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) will ensure the safety and protection of the world leaders participating in the upcoming G-20 Summit at Bharat Mandapam convention center in New Delhi's Pragati Maidan area.
With the help of the Optical Target Locator, the security agency will be able to effectively detect potential threats, such as snipers, and allow for a thorough inspection of VIP areas to maintain a secure environment.
The Optical Target Locator is an essential tool that can effectively detect both passive and active surveillance devices.

The device includes optical day sights, sniper telescopes, night vision devices, or electronic sensors like laser range finders.

This advanced technology is designed to enhance detection capabilities of up to 1500m during both day and night operations, especially in complex urban environments.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police and Border Security Force personnel have beefed up security and patrols across the city.
A team of specially trained security members of the National Security Guards' (NSG) dog squads - Zenon, Ming, Zone, Zozo, and Zinger - along with their handlers and bomb disposal units have been deployed to ensure a safe and secure summit.
