The G-20 Parliamentary Speakers' Summit will take place on 13-14 October 2023 in New Delhi.
Andrey Klimov, the deputy chair of the Russian upper chamber's Committee on Foreign Affairs, said on Sunday that the Russian delegation was planning to visit India in the near future as part of the G-20 Parliamentary Speakers' Summit.

"We are planning a parliamentary visit to India in the very near future as part of the Parliamentary G-20 [parliaments of the G-20 countries]. We have very long-standing parliamentary relations with India. India's Ambassador to Russia [Pavan Kapoor] understands Russian issues very well, has worked in Ukraine and London, and fully supports the idea of developing all formats of cooperation," Klimov told Russian reporters during his visit in Ankara.

India is scheduled to hold major elections by the summer, he added.
"Therefore, it is difficult to draw a road map for the coming years. It is necessary to wait until after the elections and continue to work with those who will receive a mandate. The directions are clear: joint development of BRICS and SCO. Not all positions are the same, everyone has their own vision, it is being discussed," Klimov said.
