Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Moscow has long warned about the adverse outcomes of Western arms supplies to Ukraine.
Zakharova noted that corrupt practices within the supply chain of US arms to Ukraine have resulted in the sale of Western weapons on the black market and their subsequent acquisition by Hamas.

For a year and half, at official briefings at the Russian Foreign Ministry, I have been talking about how NATO weapons, primarily American weapons supplied to [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky, are spreading to black markets. I also mentioned the reason - corruption in Ukraine and the corrupt link between Washington and Kiev. I spoke, warned, and asked the world media to pay attention.

She also criticized major Western media outlets for their biased judgments and failure to incorporate Russian information in their investigations.
Ask Bloomberg, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Politico, The Associated Press, the BBC and others how many times they quoted our data or conducted investigations based on it? I suggest "none."

During numerous briefings since March 2022, Zakharova has repeatedly cautioned about the uncontrolled proliferation of Western-supplied weapons to Ukraine, which ended up in the hands of organized crime gangs and radicals worldwide.

"Where and when weapons supplied to Ukraine by the "compassionate" Western alliance will resurface remains an open question. However, it does occur. Innocent people anywhere in the world, including their own citizens, could find themselves in the crosshairs of Czech or Belgian rifles," Zakharova said at one of the briefings.

Yet, NATO and EU countries consistently ignore the threat of modern weapons falling into the hands of extremists and terrorists, both in Ukraine and beyond. Given the high risks of such consequences, it can be directly stated that Western countries are complicit in terrorist activities, she added at a briefing in August.
